I have all my prospective clients go through what I call a Fearless Exploration process with me. It doesn’t matter if they are just starting out or if they are a seasoned transformational entrepreneur.
I have this as a requirement because in order to better understand themselves and their gifts so they can fearlessly own them, they first have to identify them.
You might think that sounds all good for a newbie, but a seasoned business owner knows this stuff, right?
You’d be surprised how many don’t. Yes! Even in the creative, spiritual and holistic fields.
I find that most woo-woo entrepreneurs are multi-tasking, credential-earning and always-learning fanatics. You guys devour and absorb any new technique and love adding them to your spiritual toolbox. Don’t get me wrong, I throw myself right in there with ya! I love learning and always have a new tip or trick up my sleeve.
There’s nothing wrong with furthering your education and personal growth, nor adding a new tool to your mix of services, but where this starts to be an issue is when it’s interfering with landing new clients.
You have 15 seconds to snag a visitor’s attention on your website. That’s all the time you get to hold their interest long enough for them to decide if they want to get to know you better or work with you.
One of the biggest challenges I see with both seasoned and startup transformational businesses is that you offer too much. If visitors are having to scroll through a boatload of services to figure out what you really are good at, they’ll bounce.
Another challenge I’ve seen is that most woo-woo entrepreneurs don’t know how to keep it simple. If a visitor finds the site is too confusing to navigate, they are off there before you can say BOO!
Another challenge is saying the same ol’ thing. If a prospective client finds that the site is convoluted with a bunch of woo-woo feel good nonsense they’ve seen too many times to count, they are going to leave before they even get to the good stuff.
I can go on and on about the reasons why your prospective clients are high-tailing it off your site, but that’s not what this article is about. This article is about the process - getting REALLY CLEAR on what you’re good at, what you love doing, and how your unique energy affects your business, your communication and your interaction with others. Not only that, but it’s about what makes you different than all the other visionary entrepreneurs out there.

If you are just starting out, you’ll receive recommendations for business opportunities that illuminate your strengths and lays a solid foundation so you can launch fearlessly.
