The full moon in Capricorn will be Thursday, June 24th and will be bringing with it breakthrough and new ways of being. The breakthrough to the new is going to feel uncomfortable and you may want to stick with the old ways of being. The caveat is that if you do decide to stay in your comfort zone, you may find that old comforts don’t work like they use to.
This could leave you feeling uneasy, irritable or possibly confused with how to move forward. You may know you can’t go back to the way things were, but be fearful of what the future holds.
To navigate this energy, be mindful, patient and open to new possibilities or different ways to handle situations.
Take this full moon as an opportunity to begin to see what the future might look like as your new self continues to emerge and clip away what is no longer serving you (including your go-to coping mechanisms and limiting comfort zone).
The key is to purge all those draining and negative emotions that are making their way to the surface right now. Sometimes we brush things aside or move on so quickly with a brave face, that we never really allow ourselves to lean into how we’re feeling. That’s how energetic blocks are created, which stifle your ability to create and manifest easily.
Full Moon Clipping Practice
Set the mood: Light a candle, burn incense and listen to peaceful music.
Get in the zone: Meditation or mindfulness can help you get into a space where you are fully connected and focus on what you really need to review to discover what no longer serves.
Reflect: Grab a piece of paper and answer the following potent questions:
Create the list: Grab a piece of paper and start by writing the date of the full moon and the following statement: "On this full moon, I clip away...". Then make a list of the things you are ready to release from all aspects of your life.
Make a statement: Start with this statement: On this full moon I make a conscious and intentional choice to clip away and release the following items that no longer serve me in living in full alignment with my divinity and my highest expression. Then read each item on the list out loud.
Pick your release method:
1. Grab a waterproof bag or container to keep your paper dry. Throw in some crystals and stones that are good for releasing, such as smoky quartz, aquamarine, petrified wood or blue topaz. Place your clippings out under the night sky the day before the full moon and bring them back inside one day after the full moon. Cut or tear your list into tiny shreds visualizing you are clipping them out of your life and toss them into the trash.
2. On the full moon, take the list and burn it outside in a fire visualizing your words blowing away with the smoke.
3. Write with water-based markers/ink pens and drop the paper in a bowl of water (with or without stones/crystals) and watch the words disappear from the paper over the full moon cycle.
Speaking your truth around the full moon will be powerful and lays the groundwork for your next steps. Make sure you have real clarity before you share and that it is your truth and is not coming from irrational fears or something someone else is telling you (Mercury is coming out of retrograde, but we are still in it's post-shadow phase).
